Making cinnamon ornaments
The Lizards had a science lesson while making some sweet smelling cinnamon ornaments. The ornaments were sent home in the kids' Christmas bags on Thursday. Hope they smell great in everyone's homes! I know they really made our classroom "smell like Christmas"!
Simply combine 2 cups of applesauce and 2 cups of cinnamon together
What does cinnamon smell like?
Measuring and mixing
Stir
Roll the dough out
Cut the dough in the shape of gingerbread men
Finished products!

Christmas Party
We had so much fun at our Christmas party today! Thanks to all the parents who helped us celebrate the spirit of Christmas! The kids had a great time munching on foods and exchanging books! Ms. Gomillion and I thank you for all the gifts and fabulous gift cards! We are truly blessed!
A special "Thank You" to Tarra, Monica, and Allison for organizing our party today!

Learning about Ramadan
Selma Dagtas, mother of Kaan in Ms. Stacker's class, spoke to PreK students today about Ramadan and the culminating celebration of Eid. Ramadan is the month of December in which Muslims fast and pray. Eid is a religious holiday that marks the end of Ramadan; Muslims are not allowed to fast and they partake in sweets and good treats. Selma and Kaan are from Turkey. It is so much fun to learn about holidays and traditions from around the world!
