Seasons and temperature!

This week The Lizards have been learning about the four seasons and the weather that is associated with each one. Students took turns acting out the changing of the seasons by modeling the Earth rotating around the sun. We learned that it takes one year for the Earth to circle the sun. Students also examined our class thermometer learning that the red mercury line rises when it's hot and goes down when it is cold.

Author in the house!

Our resident author and illustrator, Julia Haley, read her original work to the class entitled, What Happens in the Spring? The Lizards loved her depiction of spring and all the wonderful things that occur in this season.
