PE - Rhythm Sticks

Coach Horn introduced the Lizards to Rhythm Sticks today! Rhythm sticks teach kids artistic perception of rhythm in music and how to move their bodies and tap their sticks to the rhythm of a particular song. This activity is also aerobic in nature and beneficial to children's health.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

Students learned today about Martin Luther King, Jr. and the dream he had for our country. We can celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day everyday by practicing kindness, being fair, and acting respectful.

Corgi Cuddles

We kicked off our Awesome Animals Unit with my favorite two corgis in the world - Rudy and Lucie. Mr. Izard brought the two to visit the Lizards this morning. We talked about the characteristics of a dog, how to properly take care of a dog, and safety skills when it comes to meeting new dogs in the neighborhood. Rudy and Lucie were more than happy to share kisses and get love from the Lizards.
