Owen, by Kevin Henkes

Today we read the story Owen by Kevin Henkes. The kids loved hearing about how Owen didn't want to leave his blanket home while he attended school. In the end, Owen's mother cut his blanket into small handkerchiefs so he could easily take a part of his blanket to school in his pocket. Each child in class is taking their own handkerchief home today. Look for it in their backpack.

Opening centers in the classroom

Today was our first time to attend PE and what fun we had! Coach Cameron got out the parachute for us. We practiced skills and learned a new game. Just a reminder, always wear tennis shoes on Tuesday as we will be moving and exercising in PE.
