PreK Meets the Mounted Police

Our PreK had a real treat this morning as members from LRPD's Mounted Police visited PreK. We learned about the roles they play in the community and more about being a police officer. We even were allowed to pet Officer Chip and Officer Clooney. They are horses that are trained to work in an urban area.

ViPS Reading Day in LRSD

Today is considered a special day in our city as community leaders visit all LRSD elementary schools to read a book to students. We were honored to have Mrs. Rhonda Burton read to us - If you Give a Mouse a Cookie. She did a fabulous job and the kids loved hearing her read. Mrs. Burton is the Office Manager at Paul Burton Family Dentistry where her husband is a dentist.

Granparents' Day

We are so lucky to have so many grandparents and special guests join us today for lunch. We sang a special song (the kids worked super hard on it), gave presents we made, bought lots of books at the Book Fair, and ate lunch with our visitors. It was a great day in PreK for Grandparents' Day!

Balls and Ramps

We opened a new center in the classroom today that the kids absolutely loved - Balls and Ramps! They had so much fun building and experimenting (refining our STEM investigative skills).
