Art - Making Clay Bowls

We started working on our Mother's Day gifts today! The kids had such fun building shapes with the clay and making designs. This three week project will include baking and painting the clay, too. I think our mothers will LOVE it!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Mrs. Beth Murphy (Libby's grandmother) returned today with more stories and puppetry for us to watch. Today she brought April the tiger puppet and May a little girl puppet. We reviewed weather vocabulary and read a story about rain in the spring. We love it when extended family comes to visit us!

What the Sun Sees - What the Moon Sees

This morning we read the two-in-one book, What the Sun Sees and What the Moon Sees by Nancy Taturi. We then brainstormed and created a chart of items that we see during the day and those we see at night. Last, students created their own two sided masterpieces depicting things that the sun would see and things the moon would see.
