We were very lucky to have three officers from the LRPD visit us this afternoon! We learned about their job and how they serve our community. 

Recycle Truck

A recycling truck from Waste Management visited PreK this morning! Nigel, a truck operator, showed us how the truck operates, displayed items we can recycle, and spoke about the role he plays as a community helper.

The Red Ribbon theme for Thursday was "Superheros Say No to Drugs" so today we wore our favorite superhero cape to school!

Fire truck visited!

We were very lucky to have firefighters from the LRFD visit us today! We learned more about their job, the role they play in our community, and got a close up look at a fire truck. 

Hat Day

Red Ribbon Week kicked off today at Fulbright with "Hats off to Anti-Bullying and Being Drug Free". The Lizards wore some cute caps and hats!

Pumpkin Carving

We not only carved one pumpkin, but five pumpkins today! Thanks to Annalisse's mom, Monica Jenkins, she spent the entire day with us pulling small groups of four children to carve their own pumpkin! What a treat it was was! She encouraged each child to touch, feel, and explore the inside and outside of each pumpkin. We even baked the seeds and ate our pumpkin seeds. Welcome Fall!
