Eating a Healthy Salad

This week we've learned about eating healthy and the letter "S". I can't think of a better way to end the week than with a big healthy salad!

First, we read a book

Then, we made our own salads - yum!

Rock Star Day for the letter "R"

We had so much fun celebrating Rock Star Day! A huge "Thank You" to Stephen Compton (Carly's dad) for bringing his electric guitar and amplifier to our class and giving us a short lesson on the instruments and the history of Rock-n-Roll.

Mr. Dukes brought his "wham-wacker" that we were able to play, too.

We even played the drums!

Green Eggs and Ham

Can't end a week of celebrating Dr Seuss without eating green eggs and ham? The Lizards were a bit hesitant at first about "green eggs", but surprisingly they really liked them!

Celebrating Dr Seuss' Birthday at the Clinton Library

We joined kids from Pulaski County at the William J Clinton Library to celebrate Dr Seuss' 110th birthday! We were greeted at the door by The Cat in the Hat, rode escalators, and were read a story by the First Lady of Arkansas, Ginger Beebe. The Lizards had so much to see and take in on this visit.
