Keeping our Teeth Clean

I want to brag on Kimi Barker (Finley's mom). After finding this project on FaceBook, I asked if she would make it for us. It is a drawn picture of teeth with glitter as food and the kids use a toothbrush to clean the teeth simulating them brushing their own teeth. They had more fun today taking turns cleaning their set of teeth. I am so grateful to Kimi and parents/grandparents who volunteer and give of their time to our class. It means so much to the kids and me!

Letter R Chart

I'm super proud of these kiddos. They came up with 30 fabulous words that start with the letter "R". Teamwork!

Nurse Lezley Visits!

Fulbright is so lucky to have such a caring and knowledgable nurse working with us. Today, Nurse Lezley visited The Lizards and taught us about dental hygeine. We learned how to brush and floss our teeth on a large model and which healthy foods are good for our teeth. Nurse Lezley left us with a cool coloring book and a toothbrush kit the kids will take home on Monday.

Doctor Bags

After learning and discussing various ways to take care of ourselves, we read the book "How do Dinosaurs get well Soon?". In the book, the dinosaurs do not want to go to the doctor and are not very good patients. So, my very smart and capable Lizards decided to complete medical school today and made their own doctors' bags with their name proudly displayed on the front. They are ready to see patients!
