100th Day of School Celebration Continues
To culminate our 100th Day of School Celebration, Mrs. Barbara Blount (aka, Mimi or better known as Emerson's grandmother) organized an entire trail-mix activity for us. Students were handed a 100 count grid chart and placed various food items on the chart until they created a 100 piece trail-mix bag to take home. Mimi also read a fun book about the 100th Day of School. In addition, a big shout-out to Judith Strzelec for providing balloons for our red room and gathering all the items we needed to make the day a big success. With her help, we had 100 balloons welcoming us to school.

PE - Jumping Rope
Coach Cameron introduced a new activity to The Lizards this morning - Jumping Rope. It is a hard gross motor skill to master, but I was proud of how many of them persevered until they got the hang of it. Coach Cameron started with very simple instructions - throw the rope over your head and step over the rope. After the kids started getting the hang of it, many of them were jumping over the rope.
