Socktober Drive Continues

We have 1 1/2 weeks left until the sock drive for Socktober is complete! It's not too late to donate new or gently used socks to help our homeless friends in the city during the cold winter months.

Family Blocks

The children had so much fun sharing their Family Blocks this week! I can't tell you how much I appreciate the parents assistance in this assignment. Students shared all about their families (how they are alike, how they are different) and told us about things that you all do as a family (vacation, sports, etc...) These blocks will be kept in our Block Center for the remainder of the year so they can not only build with them, but refer to them when they miss you all throughout the day.

RIF #1 - Reading is Fundamental

We were invited to participate in Fulbright's first RIF of the school year. RIF is a non-profit organization that our wonderful PTA sponsors. Each child in the school gets to take home a free book of their choosing on RIF Days. Help your child read their new book at home tonight!

Paper Jack-o-Lanterns

Our pincer muscles got a great work out this morning as we tore orange paper to make very cool jack-o-lanterns in art. We learned about shapes, how to effectively tear paper, and how to use glue with Mrs. Parrish today.

Socktober

Socktober is an exciting time for The Lizards to give back to our community. This is the time of year that Fulbright participates in a sock drive for the homeless in Little Rock. The Van will deliver the donated socks as the weather turns colder. It's not too late to donate! Your child has until Wednesday, October 30th to bring their new or gently used socks to school. We love to help our children have an opportunity to help others!

D is for Doughnuts and our wonderful Dads

After learning about the letter "D" this week, students celebrated with a morning doughnut special guests - their dads. We had such a great time celebrating the letter "D"!
