Budding architects

We have several budding architects after students examined buildings and skylines. We completed a STEAM activity by using blocks and small objects to build creative designs. Also, we learned what an architect does at her job.

Longest to shortest

Students worked on solving a puzzle by gluing the longest pieces of green paper in order to their shortest piece and forming a Christmas tree.

Icing our Gingerbread Men

Run,run as fast as you can! Ms. Izard's Class caught the gingerbread man!

Gumball paintings

Students examined the works of artist, Wayne Thiebaud; particularly. focusing on his 1963 oil painting entitled, The Three Machines (shown below). Afterwards, we created our own gumball machines paying attention to shapes and colors. I'd say we did a pretty good job!
