First RIF Day of the Year

PTA sponsored Fulbright's first Reading is Fundamental (RIF) Day of the year. Students perused the selection of books and were able to take one home of their choosing. RIF will occur two more times this school year.

Mr. David

Mr. David is a mental therapist that has been assigned full-time to Fulbright Elementary. Today he popped in and taught us the STAR song. I bet your child will remember the lyrics with a little bit of help - Stop and Think, befor you Act, Review (what's a better choice)? Mr. David will stop in periodically to visit The Lizards.

Cowboy Day for the Letter C

The Lizards had a rootin' tootin' good time celebrating Cowboy Day for the Letter C. We read books about cowboys and crazy coyotes. We also learned some western dance moves. Yippee-ki-yay!!!!!

Fire Drill

October is Fire Safety Month. I can't think of a more beautiful morning than today to practice a schoolwide fire drill.

PE - Soccer continues with Coach Horn

Today The Lizards had a great opportunity to review and practice skills that lend themselves to the sport of soccer. They dribbled (no hands) the ball between small cones which takes a lot of effort from four-year-olds. Also, they "scored" by kicking the ball through the large cones. Practice using the terms trapping and kicking when using a ball with your child this weekend and see if they remember what Coach Horn taught them.
