Measuring with Bear Paws

This morning, we worked on a fun measuring activity using bear paws. After learning about hibernation, students used cut-out bear paws to measure four specific objects in the classroom - chair, rug, bookshelf, and a friend. After measuring each object, students recorded the correct answer on their sheet of paper.

Center Time

It may have been raining outside this morning, but we had so much fun learning through play during center time.

Spring is coming!

According to Punxsutawney Phil and our own groundhogs, an early spring is on its way! After drawing, cutting, and gluing our own groundhogs, we walked outside for a little experiment this afternoon. Just like Phil, our groundhogs did not see any shadows. We observed that it was a cloudy sky. Without sunshine, we cannot see a shadow. Thus, according to the old tale of Punxsutawney Phil, we will have an early spring.
