2nd Visit - Pinnacle Mountain Interpreter

Mr. Matthew (Pinnacle Mountain Interpreter) shared information with the students today about animals' homes. We saw a red-winged black bird's nest, a kingfisher's nest, a bat's house, and a wasps' nest. Also, we looked at lots of cool pictures of animals found at Pinnacle Mountain and the homes they build. Students also learned how trash left on the ground can be harmful to animals as they build their homes and nests.

Art - Rainbows

In art we learned about the property of light, the colors found in light/rainbows, and then worked together with the other two PreK classes to create a large rainbow.

PE - cup stacking

Coach Cameron brought cup stacking to The Lizards this morning! If you've never heard of it, it's a new sensation that is sweeping the US. There are several competitions where people construct and deconstruct structures made of cups in a timed manner. Today, The Lizards explored building and creating different designs with their set of ten cups.

1st Visit - Pinnacle Mountain Interpreter

Mr. Matthew Friant (Interpreter with Pinnacle Mountain State Park) made his first out of four visits today with the children. He shared pelts, sheddings, shells, and bones from various Arkansas animals. We can't wait to learn more next week when Ms. Kelly will teach us about habitats.
