Boosterthon Fun Run

Fire Safety

As we start our unit on community helpers, our friend,
Lt. Shoemaker, visited us from the North Little Rock Fire Department this morning. We got to see the cool pink (yes, PINK) fire truck decorated for the Susan G Coleman Race this weekend. Lt. Shoemaker was very kind to answer questions, show us equipment, and describe his role as a firefighter in our community.

Boosterthon

PreK had their Boosterthon kick-off this morning. For the next 2 weeks we will be raising money for the Roberts' PTA. This is a great way to financially contribute to the school. The culminating activity to the Boosterthon will be held on Wednesday, October 17th with lots of fun, walking the track to raise money for our school.

How Did You Get Your Name?

As part of our current unit, "My Family", I asked parents to recall how they decided on their child's name. I received many interesting and touching descriptions. Thanks to everyone for sharing! The Lizards loved learning a little bit about their own history.
