Elf Comparison

Are you taller or shorter than the elf? That was our math question of the day. After comparing everyone's height to our resident elf, students wrote their name on a piece of paper and placed it on the correct poster. Afterwards we counted the entire class and found that 9 students were taller and 10 were shorter than the elf. Conclusion - more students were shorter than our elf.
