This week we've been learning about healthy foods and the importance to recognize the difference between "healthy foods" and "sometime foods". We began the day by reading, How Does Your Salad Grow? We also watched a short Sesame Street video hosted by Michele Obama planting a garden from seeds. Later, after having a lengthy discussion on healthy foods, each child examined the Kroger weekly circular and found a minimum of 5 healthy foods he/she can find at the grocery store. Last, we had so much fun making a healthy salad using lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, radishes, croutons, and a smidgen of ranch dressing. It's fun to eat healthy!
