Fire Safety Scavenger Hunt

Continuing to learn about "Safety" this week, The LIzards had a fun time searching for items in the school building that keeps us safe from fire. We looked for fire alarms, smoke detecters, and fire extinguishers throughout the building. They looked very official with clipboards and pencils in hand.

How Does Your Salad Grow?

After reading How Does Your Salad Grow? by Francis Alexander, students combined all the elements of a salad to create a perfect, colorful salad to try. We've learned that we should add colorful foods to our diet to give us all the vitamins and nutruients our bodies need to keep us movning. Also, it was a fun food to make this week since we are learning about the letter "S".

Nurse Lezley teaches us about healthy dental habits!

Nurse Lezley visited The Lizards this morning where we learned more about healthy dental habits. Students know that is important to brush and floss your teeth twice a day, eat healthy foods, drink lots of water and milk, and visit the dentist twice a year. By following these simple rules, we'll all have a healthy smile!
